Breastfeeding Workshop for Expectant Parents (September 2026)
Agnes Walsh House
10:00 – 11:45
Hello Expectant Parents,
You are invited to attend a workshop on breastfeeding multiple birth infants. Expectant mums are encouraged to bring their partner or support person to the workshop.
The workshop is designed specifically for multiples families and will cover the following topics:
Establishing a healthy milk supply
Introduction to expressing and lactation aids
Logistics of feeding two babies – single vs tandem feeding, scheduled vs demand
Managing the feeding of ‘early term’ and ‘preterm’ infants
Supporting the breastfeeding mum of multiples
We are delighted to welcome Dr Sharon Perrella (Registered nurse, Registered Midwife, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) to present. She has extensive experience in caring for breastfeeding families in neonatal nurseries and in the community, and is now also a lactation researcher at The University of Western Australia.
Please note:
The workshop will be limited to 6 participants (+ their partners/support person).
We will require a minimum of 3 participants (+ their partners/support person) in order to run the workshop. The registration fee is $30 for MBAWA members and $70 for non-MBAWA members. Only one ticket purchase is required per couple/per mother + support person.
We look forward to seeing you there. Please email Nicole on expectant@mbawa.org.au with any questions you may have.

New Parent Morning Tea - November 2026
Agnes Walsh House
10:00 – 12:00
Congratulations on your new arrivals! And welcome back to those of you with families of older multiples! We'd love to welcome you to our next MBAWA New Parent Morning Tea.
If you're a parent, guardian, or support person to a family of twins, triplets or higher-order multiples with little ones, this is a great chance to connect with others who understand the unique joys (and challenges!) of life with multiples.
Join us for a relaxed morning of conversation, support, and a snacks in a friendly, welcoming environment. Whether you're expecting your first outing, looking for advice, or simply keen to meet other parents who "get it", we'd love to see you. We will also have volunteer baby-cuddlers on hand so you can actually sit down, have a drink, and go to the toilet in peace.
📅 Date: Sunday, 29th November 2026
🕙 Time: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
📍 Venue: Agnes Walsh House, King Edward Memorial Hospital, Subiaco
Age: Aimed at young kids (0-2 years old) but older multiples and siblings are welcome (please bring your own entertainment for older kids).
Cost: Free!
Special Guest: Melissa Fethers from Mercy Physio will be joining us to support you post-partum physio and baby-wearing needs!
☕ Tea, coffee and light refreshments will be provided.
❤️ Partners, grandparents and other support people are warmly welcome to attend.
Please RSVP by booking your tickets through the link below. While the event is free, booking helps us prepare for everyone attending. Please reserve a ticket for each adult and each child attending (for example, two adults and triplets = five tickets).
If your plans change and you're no longer able to attend, let us know by emailing newparent@mbawa.org.au so we can manage our volunteer numbers and catering.
We can't wait to meet you and your little ones!
All the best
