This is a 5 hour, non-accredited course designed for parents and carers, covering CPR and a range of common childhood emergencies, injuries and illnesses.  Tickets are $30 for members.  Please purchase a ticket for each adult attending.  A light lunch will be provided.  Attendees receive 20% off first aide kit purchases.

Course Content:

• CPR
• DRSABCD action plan
• Recovery position for child and infant
• Foreign material 
• Positional asphyxia 
• Respiratory conditions - asthma, allergic reaction, anaphylaxis, choking
• Trauma management – falls, cuts, nose bleeds, bleeding, shock, burns, fractures and soft tissue injuries 
• Common childhood problems – toothache, earache, stomach upsets, croup, fever, febrile convulsions, meningococcal, poisons, bites and stings.
