🐣You're Invited to the MBAWA Annual Easter Picnic!🐣 It's that time of year again, our Annual Easter Family Picnic! Join us for a fun-filled morning with activities for the whole family.   Event Details: Date: Sunday, 22nd March Time: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM Location: GO Edwards Park, 173 Burswood Rd, Burswood WA 6100 Entry: $6.30 per person, babies under 12 months free.   What’s Happening on the Day? Get up close with adorable animals from the Swan Valley Cuddly Animal Farm Face painting  Enjoy free play with a variety of lawn games Dedicated play zones for tiny tots and toddlers by Tumble Tots Massages for parents and adults by Corporate Hands A free juice box for every child Easter eggs for kids with chocolate to go around for everyone! Perk Up With Me coffee van will be on site with their delicious coffee GO Edwards Park features a fantastic playground, perfect for kids to enjoy heaps of outdoor fun during the picnic. There is free parking around the park area and lots of space for your picnic rugs, prams, and wagons.   What to Bring: Picnic rug, additional food and drinks (no alcohol permitted)   Ticketing Information: When purchasing your tickets, please include one for each family member attending. Adult tickets are limited to two per family, with an option to purchase two additional  tickets for grandparents or support persons if needed. No need to print your tickets—just check in at the registration table to receive your wristbands and your children’s juice boxes! Our small ticket price increase reflects the introduction of a small booking fee to help cover online transaction costs, which the Association has absorbed until now. We truly appreciate your understanding and continued support. MBAWA operates solely on the support of our financial members—thank you for being a part of our community! It is free to attend.  Please follow the link to book your place (there is no cost, but it allows us to see who is coming). ~ 2026 Multiple Birth Association for WA New Year Event ~ The Volunteering Committee, together with the Multiple Birth Association for WA, would like to invite you to our exclusive members-only new year event to be held at The Beach House Kids Fun Centre! Come along with your multiples, meet other members of your local multiple birth association and connect with like-minded families who simply...get what it's like raising multiples. THE DETAILS Date: Sunday 18th January 2026  Time: 4:30pm to 6:30pm Location: The Beach House Kids Fun Centre (6 Halley Road, Balcatta WA 6021) Cost: $6 per person (free entry for babies under 12 months) Venue Information: The Beach House is a fully air-conditioned, clean and spacious indoor play centre that caters for children up to 12 years old. The play areas include* a dedicated babies and toddlers section (0-3 years), a large building blocks area, bouncy castles, a ride-on track, and for the older children various arcade games such as driving, basketball machines and air hockey and much more! The onsite cafe within The Beach House will be open for our event with a full cafe menu on offer. Alternatively, families are welcome to bring your own food and beverages for the duration of the event (no alcohol is permitted).  More information on The Beach House Kids Fun Centre is available here: https://thebeachhousebalcatta.com.au *venue entertainment accurate at time of publishing this event. PLEASE NOTE *Bring your own socks as they MUST be worn by everyone within the play equipment areas, this includes babies under 12 months. Socks may be purchased from the venue directly for $3 a pair. *The venue caters for up to 250 guests. Due to venue capacity limits, tickets are available on a first come first served basis. The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is an important event for our Association. It is a formal meeting which provides a chance for all members of our Association to come together and hear about what has been achieved in the past year and what our goals are for the coming year. We also present to you a financial report, detailing our income and expenditure for the previous year and our current financial position. All committee positions will be declared vacant at the AGM, and we encourage new volunteers to join our management committee. We can offer job share opportunities for each of the committee roles and we have committee members with experience that ranges from multiple years to several months. Breastfeeding Workshop for Expectant Parents - May 2025

Hello expectant parents, You are invited to attend a workshop on breastfeeding multiple birth infants. The workshop is designed specifically for multiples families and will cover the following topics: Establishing a healthy milk supply Introduction to expressing and lactation aids Logistics of feeding two babies – single vs tandem feeding, scheduled vs demand Managing the feeding of ‘early term’ and ‘preterm’ infants Supporting the breastfeeding mum of multiples We are delighted to welcome Dr Sharon Perrella (Registered nurse, Registered Midwife, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) to present.  She has extensive experience in caring for breastfeeding families in neonatal nurseries and in the community, and is now also a lactation researcher at The University of Western Australia. Expectant mums are encouraged to bring their partner or support person to the workshop. The workshop will be limited to 6 participants (+ their partners/support person). We will require a minimum of 3 participants (+ their partners/support person) in order to run the workshop. The registration fee is $40 for MBAWA members and $70 for non-MBAWA members.
