Expectant Parent Meeting - 11.00 to 1.00pm The expectant parent meeting is an opportunity to hear from other multiple parents share their tips and stories on preparing for your multiples arrival, hospital stays and bringing your babies home.  We will discuss what you might need more than one of, what you might be able to do before your babies arrive, what to prepare, how to manage visitors and general tips on how to get out of the house on your own with babes in tow. The expectant parent meeting is free and you do not need to be a member to attend. Breastfeeding workshop runs from 1.30pm to 3.30pm, which you do need to be a member to attend. The workshop is run by a lactation consultant whom gives advise on how to breastfeed your multiples.  Topics discussed include equipment, tandem feeding and other tips.  Cost of the breastfeeding workshop is $30.00 per family.

Luckily, our Safe4Kids Parents Information course will provide YOU with the tools and the confidence to talk to your children about their safety in both their online (and offline!) worlds. Nobody wants to EVER imagine any kind of abuse happening to their child - it’s too abhorrent to even think about, right? But the fact is abuse DOES happen, and if we don’t know how to talk to our children about it – then we are simply not prepared enough as parents. Do you know what to do (or say) if your child discloses some form of abuse? (Don’t worry – we give you these tools in the course!) MBAWA & Holly-ann Martin from Safe 4 Kids are pleased to bring you an online Protective Behaviours course that can be completed at your own pace from the comfort of your own home.  This course is usually $47 but MBAWA is able to offer this to our members for only $5, thanks to our awesome fundraising efforts over the last 12 months! Please come and join us at the next MBAWA New Parent Afternoon Tea, on Sunday, February 16th. The New Parent Morning Tea (bubs 0-12 months) is a wonderful opportunity to meet with other parents of multiples in a very relaxed and informal setting, and enjoy a cup of tea.    The afternoon tea will be held at Agnes Walsh House from 1PM -3PM. It is free to attend. We will also have a physio in attendance to check your abdominal muscles and talk to you one on one about post pregnancy health and exercise.   Please follow the link to book your place (there is no cost, but it allows us to see who is coming). Please make sure you book enough tickets for all adults and babies attending (so two parents and triplets would be 5 tickets). Please join us for our family Christmas Picnic 2019. There will be fun for all ages!  We are holding the picnic at a new location - Perry Lakes Reserve, right next to the big playground & toilets. Not only will we have ALOT more shade, but there is plenty of free parking for everyone just meters from the picnic.
